Colonia: Pietro Martello, 1721. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Quarto. 8.5 x 13.25 in. [xxxiv], 677 + pp. Text in Italian, title page printed in red and black. This copy is complete and unmutilated, including 3 plates, viz. engraved title page, Varchi's portrait, and geneaology of Medici family. Very good in contemporary vellum. Vellum somewhat darkened, worn, and soiled, as usual; chipped at head and foot of spine. Small and handsome contemporary bookplate to front pastedown. Binding square and tight, text unmarked and bright. Item #31866
