The Unnamable

New York: Grove Press, 1958. First American Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Octavo. 5.5 x 8.25 in. 179 pp. Translated from the French by the author. Spine cloth and gilt a bit dull, otherwise near fine in original brown cloth-backed boards. Without dust jacket, as issued. Lovely copy. Item #33298

Of five simultaneously published editions, this copy is from a specially-bound, limited edition of 100 copies (this being number 36). This title was/is (apparently against the author's wishes) referred to as one in a "trilogy" of excellent prose produced during a period when Beckett "definitively turned towards French language as a vehicle" (wiki).

Price: $350.00
